If you want to USE a pen to draw, it is very instructional, and the author takes the time to illustrate the ideas, and to elaborate on them in a way that is rarely done in modern writing. I think. This is Charles MaGinnis at his best; it's a classic edition of his famous work on pen drawing so if you're interested in learning about art and drawing this is a great book to review.
